Does the music play in the video?Yes, you can choose background music from our song library. The background music plays throughout the video's entirety and plays quieter during clips. You can also choose to mute the entire song or mute it during specific clips if you wish. We recommend leaving it on if people speak but muting it if they are singing, playing instruments, or if the clip has its own music. Can I arrange the order of the media?You can move individual items or multiple items by tapping/clicking to select them. The numbers that appear are the order in which the media will be ordered after you drag and drop them to a new location! The numbers should disappear after you've drag the media into place. You can also select all items by pressing "select all" in the top right corner of the media gallery. This gives you ability to move/delete all media in one shot.

Can I change the display length on photos and text cards?Yes you can change the duration of time that your photos and text cards are displayed in the foreground of your VidDay. Photos and text cards will automatically be set to display for 4 seconds by default. Photos and text cards can be displayed anywhere from 4 seconds all the way to 60 seconds. We do recommend changing the length of time for photos and text cards that have a lot of text.

Can I add my own background music?Yes, you can upload your own music to use in the background of your VidDay. Go to your Event Page and scroll down to click on Customize. From there, select Background Music, then Add Song. You can drag and drop an MP3 file into the upload page or select Upload and select a file from your device. The music will automatically lower during video clips. However, remember that songs with words may be a little distracting during clips where people speak, and you may want to mute the music during the video clips.

How do I finalize my video?With the click of a button, VidDay brings all your media together in a beautiful video, gift-wrapped and ready to share with the recipient. Go to your Event Page > Finalize Your Video and click on the Checkout & Finalize button to start rendering your final video. But, before you do so, it's a good idea to review your media and make edits if needed. There are two ways you can approach this.

Can I delete a video or photo?Yes, the video creator has the ability to delete media. You can delete submitted media from your Event Page when logged in to your VidDay account. Tap/click any media on the media gallery, then click on "delete" located in the top right corner. You can select multiple items and delete them all at once. If you're already viewing a piece of media, click the delete button in the top right corner — to delete the video or photo.

Can I fix audio/video sync issues?If you notice some of the clips out of sync (i.e., the lips aren't matching the audio). Please reach out to the contributor to see whether they can resubmit the clip. If this isn't an option, reach out to our Customer Support Team, and we'll do our best to assist! Why can't I make a preview?To preview your VidDay you'll need a minimum of 30 seconds of media. Once enough media has been added to the media gallery, a button called Make a Preview will appear. Your page will allow you to create up to 10 previews of your video project so we recommend waiting until you have most of your submissions in before previewing your project. If you happen to need more previews, reach out to us on live chat and we can provide you with more.

Can I preview my video?Render free previews to create a lower-quality version. It's a great way to test your video and make adjustments if needed. Creating a preview is optional. Creating a preview To create a free preview, go to your Event Page > Preview and click the Make a Preview button. Small changes won't make a big difference, so we recommend holding off until you have most media before you make a preview.

Can I raise the volume of a video clip?All video uploads are run through our audio normalization. Our audio normalization helps to raise and equalize all the clip's audio to ensure that they come out loud and clear in the final video during finalization. Some videos may have very low audio. In this case, you have a couple of options. Reach out to the contributor and ask them to submit a new video, preferably after using videolouder.

Can I edit photos?Yes, you can edit photos. Double click the thumbnail of the photo you want to edit. By doing so, the photo becomes larger to have a closer look. To open up the Photo Editor, tap the photo again. Recent updates have been made to the cropping tool, although very similar, the videos might slightly differ from the actual editor. There are four tabs in the Photo Editor: Crop Filter Finetune Annotate Sticker Crop and Zoom In the Crop tab of the Photo Editor, you can crop your photo by dragging the corners and pinching two fingers together or apart to adjust zoom.

Can I edit video clips?Yes, you can edit video clips. Double-click a video thumbnail to edit. By doing so, the video clip becomes larger to view with editing options below. From there, you can rotate and trim the video clip. Rotate Click the rotate icon to rotate the video clip 90 degrees at a time. Click Save once you're happy with the result. Trim Click and drag the left to trim out the beginning of the video, and the right paddle to trim out the video's ending.

Can I use more than one song?Yes, you can choose multiple songs from the VidDay music library. If your video is longer than the duration of your selection of background music, your playlist will loop to fill the length of your entire video. Continue adding songs if you do not want looping to occur.
