How do I get started?How to get started in 5 easy steps. Step 1: Click on Create a Video Gift on our homepage or click here to get started. Then, follow the instructions on that page to create an event and register an account. Step 2: We will send an email to you after you register. Once you receive the email, you can activate your account by clicking on the Activate Account button.

Can I watch submissions?Yes. As the video creator, you can preview submissions from the Event Page when you're logged in to your VidDay account. Click the thumbnail of a photo or video to enter the preview mode. From here, you can also edit your photos or videos. If you need further assistance, please contact a Customer Care Specialist using our live chat, found in the bottom right corner.

What are your hours?Our customer support team is always here to help. We are online from 7 am - 12 am CST or feel free to email us at [email protected], and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Videos are made around the clock, overnight, and on weekends. Therefore, the estimate you see on the Finalize page or by clicking on the little clock next to Media is always accurate.

How does the process work?Getting Started You can start a video by answering a few questions: What's the occasion? Who's it for? This creates an Event Page that will be used to collect media. Only you (the video creator) can access this Event Page. How does the Collage theme work?A Collage theme takes screenshots from submitted photos and video clips to create collage-inspired background scenes. VidDay offers three variations of the Collage theme — light, normal, and dark. The three versions of the theme work the same; the only difference is the background scenes' brightness. If you don't want to use a Collage theme, VidDay offers other video themes that don't have photos in the background scenes — like Gift Wrap, Watercolor, Floral, or Simple.

Is there a maximum amount of media that can be uploaded?There is a maximum of 800 media items - videos or photos. That being said, we encourage you to add lots of video clips and photos and invite as many people as you’d like. Each video and photo will be featured. Photos are featured for roughly four seconds each. Note that video creators can only upload 200 files, or 1 GB at a time. And contributors can only upload ten files, or 1 GB at a time.

What will the final video look like?The final video's result will vary, depending on the video theme selected, the background music, as well as the pictures and videos submitted. The final video is rendered in 1080HD quality with an aspect ratio of 16:9. Low quality videos/photos that are submitted cannot be improved by the platform, therefore we recommend uploading media of higher quality if possible. Can I use a video theme?Yes, you can choose from a variety of video themes. To browse and choose a theme, click the Customize tab from your Event Page and open the Video Theme tab. A theme is a collection of scenes designed to be the background for your media. You will see more of a video theme with vertical and square media. You can also browse and preview themes from the VidDay website.

Can I add written messages?Event Creators can add text cards via the Media Gallery. Contributors are encouraged to submit video messages and submit photos containing text. Adding a text card: On the Event Page, click to add Media, and choose Text Card. Text cards have a 110-character limit. You can add as many text cards as you want and click and drag them in your order of preference. Note: emoticons/emojis are currently not supported.
