How to Use Your Event Page

Your VidDay Event Page is where the magic happens. It’s your mission control for creating a surprise group video that’s fun, fast, and stress-free. Watch the tutorial video below for a guided tour — and read on for key tips!

What is the Event Page?

Think of your Event Page as the command center for your group video. From here, you can:

  • Send invites to friends and family

  • Customize your theme and background music

  • Generate previews of your video as you go

  • Manage gift funds (if enabled)

  • Add and organize media — the heart of your VidDay

Adding Media

Click Add Media to explore your options:

  • Upload videos, photos, and audio clips (you’ll likely use this the most)

  • Record video messages directly from your device

  • Add text cards for intros, titles, or quick messages

  • Choose from free libraries of stock photos and animated GIFs

Everything you or your contributors add appears in your gallery. Instead of a timeline, you’ll see a clean grid — just drag and drop to arrange your media in any order.

Editing and Managing Media

Double-click any thumbnail to open it and see editing options. You’ll find buttons and toggles to:

  • Trim clips

  • Adjust audio (mute or change volume)

  • Change how long photos display

  • Apply other media settings

The toolbar above your gallery lets you:

  • Change thumbnail sizes

  • Highlight certain media types for easy focus

Want to make changes quickly? Select one or more items to access quick controls directly from your Event Page — perfect for bulk actions.

Deleting Media

Need to remove something? Click to send media to your archive folder. You can restore items from there anytime. If you’re sure you no longer need a clip or photo, you can permanently delete it.

Keep an Eye on Your Video Length

At the top of your gallery, you’ll see your video’s total runtime. It updates automatically as you add, remove, or adjust media so you always know the length of your montage.
