How to Create Your Own Custom Theme in VidDay

Personalizing your VidDay starts with the Theme Builder, where you can design a look that matches your celebration perfectly. Here’s a step-by-step guide.

1. Open the Customize Page

From your Event Page, click the Customize card.

This brings you to the Customize page where you can choose from VidDay’s premade themes or create your own.

2. Start a Custom Theme

Click the Theme card. At the top, in the Custom Theme card, click Create Theme.

3. Name Your Theme

Give your theme a clear name, so it’s easy to recognize and reuse later.

4. Choose Your Background

You have two options for backgrounds:

  • Solid Color: Use the color picker or enter a hex code for a precise match.

  • Image: Either upload your own or select one from the image library.

Uploading Your Own Image

  • Best size: 1920 × 1080 pixels

  • If your image isn’t the right size, you’ll be prompted to crop it.

  • Use a high-quality image for the best results.

Choosing from the Image Library

  • VidDay Picks: Curated, ready-to-use images.

  • Stock Library: Search for the perfect fit.

    • Stock images are auto-cropped to the right ratio.

    • Thumbnails may look stretched, but they’ll display correctly once your theme is saved.

Once you’ve added images, you can click and drag to reorder them. Your video will cycle through backgrounds in that order.

5. Set Your Text Card Style

Customize how text looks when you add it from your Event Page:

  • Choose your font

  • Adjust font color

  • Pick styles and style colors

6. Save and Use Your Theme

When you’re happy with the design, click Save.

Your theme is stored in your account, ready for this VidDay and any future ones. It will appear alongside your other available themes.

To apply it, simply click Use This Theme.
