Most videos are finalized within a few hours — but the exact timing depends on a few things. Here's what to expect so you can plan ahead with confidence.
Where to find your estimated processing time.
When you're ready to wrap things up, look for the estimated time on the Pay & Finalize button under your media gallery.
You can also see this estimate on your event page once your video starts processing.
This estimate is based on your video's length, number of clips, and the current queue.
Minor fluctuations in the timing are normal. So, no need to worry if it changes slightly while processing.
What affects your timeline?
- Video length – A general rule is that finalizing takes about 1.5× your video length. So, a 10-minute video usually takes ~15 minutes.
- Media quantity — More photos, video clips = more processing time.
- Overnight processing — Finalizing between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM CST? Your VidDay will join our overnight queue, which adds a bit of a wait until our video experts are back online in the morning.
What about the Quality Check?
Good things take time. 😉
- If you selected the optional Quality Check service, a video expert will review and enhance your video — which can add 1 to 4 hours to your timeline.
- Note: Quality Checks submitted between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM CST may take longer, since our team is offline overnight.
Need it faster?
Select Priority Processing at checkout to skip the queue and get your video finalized sooner.
