When and How Are Gifting Funds Sent to the Recipient?

Once your VidDay video is finalized, you’ll have the option to send the recipient their surprise — including any collected Group Gifting funds.

When Are Funds Sent?

Gifting funds are not sent automatically. As the VidDay creator, you choose when to send the video and gift.

After your video is complete and ready to be shared, you’ll see a Send to Recipient button on your Event Page.

How to Send the Gift

1. Click Send to Recipient from your Event Page.

2. You’ll receive a private gift link that you can copy and share directly with the recipient.

3. This link takes them to their gift page, where they can:

   • Watch the completed VidDay video

   • Redeem any monetary contributions (as a gift card, prepaid Visa, or donation)

Important Security Note

Anyone who has access to this private link will be able to redeem the gift funds. For security and privacy reasons, make sure you share this link only with the intended recipient.

Tip: Send It Thoughtfully

You can share the private link by email, text, or even print it on a card. Choose the method that best fits the moment — whether it’s a big reveal or a quiet surprise.
