What Is a Digital Gift Card?

A digital gift card is an electronic version of a traditional gift card. Instead of receiving a physical card, the recipient gets a unique code by email that can be used to make purchases either online or in-store, depending on the retailer.

How It Works

  • Comes preloaded with a set dollar amount

  • Sent directly to the recipient’s email

  • Can be used to shop online and, in many cases, in physical stores

  • To use in-store, the recipient may show the digital card or code from their phone (instructions vary by retailer)

Where It Can Be Used

Digital gift cards can typically be redeemed:

  • Online by entering the code during checkout

  • In-store by scanning or showing the code at the register

  • On any device — no printing or physical card required

Instant & Convenient

There’s no shipping, no waiting, and no risk of losing the card. It’s ready to use as soon as it arrives in the recipient’s inbox.
