What Are the Gifting Fees?

When someone contributes funds to a VidDay gift, a small fee is added to cover secure payment processing and administration costs.

Gifting Fee Breakdown

Each contribution includes:

• $1.99 base fee

• 3% admin fee, calculated on the amount contributed

Example: $50 contribution

• Contribution: $50.00

• Admin fee (3%): $1.50

• Base fee: $1.99

• Total charged: $53.49

Why Smaller Contributions Have Higher Fee Percentages

Because the $1.99 base fee is fixed, smaller contributions result in a higher fee percentage overall.

Example: $10 contribution

• Contribution: $10.00

• Admin fee (3%): $0.30

• Base fee: $1.99

• Total charged: $12.29

• (This means 22.9% of the total is the fee)

No Fees for the Recipient

Recipients never pay fees. They receive 100% of the contribution amount shown on the Gifting page — whether they choose a gift card, prepaid Visa, or donation.
